The Singer overlock foot PT200 is designed for durable seams and neat finishing on stretchy or delicate fabrics. Compatible with select Singer overlock machines, it allows you to trim and overcast in one single step.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

* Turn off the power and unplug the machine before assembling.

* Loosen the presser foot screw and remove the standard presser foot. Do not loosen the needle retaining screw. The needle must be inserted.

* Attaching the Overlock Presser Foot:

Insert the overlock presser foot, making sure to hook the arm onto the needle clamp. Tighten the screw, lower the presser foot lifter, and ensure that the needle does not hit the presser foot by manually turning the machine. Make sure the clamp is sufficiently tightened.

MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS

* Adjusting the Stitch Type: Raise the needle to its highest position and set the stitch type to Zig-Zag.

Adjust the Zig-Zag by at least 5 mm to prevent the needle from hitting the center guide.

( NOTE ) Double-check that the needle is not touching the presser foot by turning the machine manually. Use special care with electronic machines.

* Stitch Length Adjustment: Set the stitch length to 2-3 mm.

* Sewing Speed: Set to medium or low speed.

* Fabric Thickness: Choose a fabric that can be sewn. For thick denim, do not exceed two layers.

Fabric Preparation Before Sewing

* Draw a line on the fabric where you will later cut.

* The width of the fabric to be cut with the presser foot should be between 1 and 1.5 cm from the line drawn on the fabric. Then, trim the excess fabric with scissors.

* To make it easier to initially pass the fabric under the presser foot, make a slit of about 2 cm with scissors along the previously drawn line.

HOW TO USE THE FOOT

* Raise the needle and presser foot.

* Place the fabric over the base of the foot, ensuring that the left edge of the fabric slides under the foot and the right edge remains to the right of the knife.

* Pull the fabric slightly in the direction of feed to ensure even feed.

FINAL CHECK FOR EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE

* Be careful to keep the feed length less than 3 mm.

* Always check that the fabric feeds smoothly and correctly in the direction of feed.

* When using lightweight fabrics, it is best to pull the fabric slightly toward the knife.

* Clean the cutting area frequently.
