The Pfaff rolled hem foot 3 mm with IDT code 820249096 is an original accessory designed to create fine, even hems on light to medium fabrics. The integrated guide rolls the fabric while the IDT system ensures even feeding, preventing puckering. Perfect for curtains, scarves, dresses, and precision sewing projects.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select the straight stitch, snap on the hemmer foot, and engage the IDT™ system (if available on your sewing machine). If necessary, press only the beginning of the hem to 3 mm wide, depending on the size of your foot. Place the fabric flat in the groove under the foot and sew a few stitches. Lower the needle into the fabric to hold it in place. Now raise the foot and pass the raw edge of the fabric through the loop of the foot. Lower the foot and continue sewing, holding the raised raw edge of the fabric in front of the foot.
2. The fabric should not slide under the right half of the foot.
Tip: Use a straight stitch on gathered fabrics. On soft fabrics, use a zigzag stitch that just covers the hem measurement (if the fabric curves sharply, this foot cannot be used).
