Cod. 821375096 Set of 25 needles for Pfaff domestic sewing machines, universal 2×70, 6×80, 2×90, for quilting 3×75, 2×90, embroidery 3×75, 2×90, for denim 2×90, 2×100, 1×110
Universal needles are suitable for all types of fabric: thanks to their rounded tip and tapered end, they glide easily through both regular and knit fabrics.
Quilting needles have a particularly tapered and slightly rounded tip for easy sewing through multiple layers and quilts. They prevent missed stitches when quilting.
Embroidery needles have a special bevel, a slightly rounded tip, and a slightly larger eye to avoid damaging the thread or fabric.
Jeans needles have a sharp point and a reinforced needle body. This prevents breakage and prevents stitches from skipping.
Pfaff sewing machine needles are color-coded according to their needle type on the shaft:
Wing/Cutwork (no color marking), Topstitch (special sharp quilting needles – no color marking), Quilting (for quilting – purple marking), Universal (universal for all fabrics – red marking), Overlock (for overlockers – no color marking), Microtex (for microfiber, silk – black marking), Jeans (for denim – blue marking), Leather (for leather and suede – brown marking), Ballpoint (for knits – orange marking), Embroidery (for embroidery machines – white marking), Stretch (for stretch materials – yellow marking).
In addition, needles are color-coded according to needle strength (needle size). The 100 marking corresponds to a needle width of 1 mm. The markings are as follows:
60/08 (no colored marking), 70/10 (green marking), 75/11 (pink marking), 80/12 (orange marking), 90/14 (blue marking), 100/16 (purple marking), 110/18 (yellow marking), 120/19 (brown marking), 130/21 (red marking).
Select the needle strength based on the type of material. The thread should always pass easily through the needle and not snag.
Lightweight and thin materials require thin needles, so choose thinner threads.
Strong materials require stronger needles, so choose stronger threads.
Pfaff recommends changing the needle after 6-8 hours of sewing. This time is recommended and depends on the type of fabric.
